This Strawberries and Cream Smoothie tastes like dessert in a glass. It combines strawberries, coconut chunks, banana, maca powder, chia seeds, hemp seeds and coconut milk to create a sweet and creamy smoothie.

Strawberries and Cream Smoothie Ingredients

Strawberries: You can use fresh or frozen strawberries depending on the season, either will work just fine.

Coconut Chunks: I use the Creative Gourmet Frozen Coconut Chunks for this smoothie. However, you could also use dessicated coconut or even fresh coconut.

Maca Powder: I use the Power Super Foods maca. It’s certified organic and are sourced from smallholder organic farms. 

Coconut Milk: Any plant-based milk will work but I recommend Pure Harvest Coco Quench coconut milk. It’s organic and made from a blend of coconut milk and brown rice.

Protein Powder: The chia seeds and hemp seeds in this smoothie add some extra plant-based protein and healthy fats. You could also add a vegan protein powder to this smoothie to make it a bit more hearty (particularly if you’re consuming this as a meal or post-workout). I use a flavourless protein powder from Amazonia in my smoothies for a little extra protein.

Strawberries and Cream Smoothie

If you don’t have a lot of time during the week, this smoothie is super simple to create for breakfast or a snack. If you’re more into meal prepping on the weekend, you could make a batch and freeze it into smoothie cubes. This makes it even easier to whip up during the week.

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • 1 cup
  • 1/2 cup
  • Tablespoon
  • Teaspoon

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup coconut chunks
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2 cups coconut milk

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender and process until smooth.
  • Serve as desired!
