This Acai Snickers Smoothie tastes just as the name describes. It’s a delicious combination of acai berry, cacao, peanut butter, banana, blueberries, spinach, maca, protein powder, blended together with coconut milk.
Acai Snickers Smoothie Ingredients
Acai Berry: The acai berry is a small, round, black-purple fruit that comes from acai palm trees in South America. It is rich in fiber and antioxidants. Acai berry is generally found in frozen puree packets or freeze-dried powder. I use the Amazonia frozen acai puree packets which I find blend really nicely in a smoothie. However, if you prefer the powder that would also work in this smoothie just fine.
Blueberries: I use frozen wild blueberries in this smoothie but you can use any type of berries. The berries can also be fresh or frozen depending on the season.
Coconut Milk: Any plant-based milk will work but I recommend Pure Harvest Coco Quench coconut milk. It’s organic and made from a blend of coconut milk and brown rice.
Cacao and Maca: I use the Power Super Foods cacao and maca. These are certified organic and are sourced from smallholder organic farms.
Protein Powder: I use a flavourless protein powder from Amazonia in my smoothies for a little extra protein.
Peanut Butter: Any peanut butter will work just fine. However, I personally love Mayver’s Peanut Butter. It’s made in Australia from nothing but roasted peanuts and a pinch of salt.
If you don’t have a lot of time during the week, this smoothie is super simple to create for breakfast or a snack. If you’re more into meal prepping on the weekend, you could make a batch and freeze it into smoothie cubes. This makes it even easier to whip up during the week.
